Is it easy to answer
In a yes or a no
How does it hurt you
To say something more?
Like a lighthouse your beacon
Guided ashore
Through stormy dark oceans
Or deep ocean flloors...
Harbored and anchored
Warm, safe and sound
Your shelter your fire
And the new home we found
Yet this day we set sail
Your beacon no more
Devoid of rudders,
denied the oar...

Another ...
Another lit cigarette
Another poured peg
Another open bruise
Another sore leg
Another thought rushin in
Another lone eve
Another missed phone call
Another known grief
Another dry tear drop
Another lone wail
Another boat oarless
Another torn sail
Another cold shiver
Another winter frost
Another acceptance of
Another love lost ...
Another poured peg
Another open bruise
Another sore leg
Another thought rushin in
Another lone eve
Another missed phone call
Another known grief
Another dry tear drop
Another lone wail
Another boat oarless
Another torn sail
Another cold shiver
Another winter frost
Another acceptance of
Another love lost ...
Heart that won't Heal
You have your life
And I now have mine
Destined or fated
They'd crossed paths sometime...
The earth the adhesive
Beneath my feet
Seems glacier today
Of icy deceit
Somewhere some limits
Were clearly defined
Since stoic and restrained
In heart soul and mind
Yet sometimes we stumble
'N Can't help but reveal
A love that's on high tide,
a heart that won't heal ...
Kolkata
Crowded buses, potholed streets
This is how my city’s is known
Realisation sinks when far from home
That in my Kol, u’re not alone
Wading through thru the monsooned lane
Perhaps that is some of the pain
You’d take to call this your nest
This city doesn’t put you to test
Deep warm hearts, with wallets cold
Smiling faces, be young or old
You’ll always find a lending hand
You’re made to feel, this is your land
Two buck coffee, one buck tea
Or Twenty for a taxi
Hop in the tram, ‘n hum a song
‘Cos this is where u belong
No classy trappings, no chain of malls
Tho not in plenty, it’s got it al
land this is where throughout the nite
the pubs are open, the crowd's just right
The first Oscar, the First Nobel
The first Metro, The first Cell
You’ve got your feet right on the ground
So you needn’t throw your weight around!
Every hometown’s got its own charm
I’m sure you’ve got your tales to tell …
Come home to Kol, cos here u’re asked
How have you been? Hope all is well?
